Feby Maria Puravath-Manikat MD

Feby Maria Puravath Manikat, MD is currently a practicing sleep medicine physician. She completed her fellowship in the Division of Sleep Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to entering fellowship, she trained at Cornell University in nutritional sciences and at the Harvard Medical School for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia. Her clinical interests are in holistic and integrative medicine.  In between medical school rotations, she visited Ayurvedic centers in Kerala, India and learned about different approaches to health. She regularly practices meditation and yoga, and has over a decade of experience in these methods. She loves learning from sacred texts from different world religions to better understand spirituality in all of its different dimensions and using that ancient wisdom knowledge to empower and help patients. Her body of work encompasses assisting high-profile individuals, celebrities, working parents, and professionals in achieving their fullest potential by identifying and addressing sleep issues that significantly influence their health, behavior, relationships, and performance. Through her expertise, she transforms sleep into a vital source of restorative power, enabling them to excel in every aspect of their lives.

She is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in which she plays an active role in the Political Action Committee, advocating for sleep health in the general population by making evidence-based recommendations to members of Congress. She is the youngest member of the panel that offers expert opinions on sleep health, daylight saving time and sleep priority in schools and workplaces to Congressional lawmakers.

She is a lecturer for the popular course “Sleep and Dreams” taught at Stanford University.

Her goal is to enhance her clients' sleep to improve their health, boost performance, and increase energy, allowing them to wake up refreshed. She aims to explore the intricacies of sleep energetics, investigating the root causes of sleep issues. This includes delving into personal factors and social influences that may hinder restful sleep—areas that many physicians may overlook.

She is also a member of the Stanford Lifestyle and Longevity program and serves on the strategic advisory board for Cyberhuman.ai, contributing her expertise to the advancement of innovative health and AI initiatives.

She resides in Palo Alto, California, with her husband, Richie, and their two children, Angelina and David. Her passions include cooking, hiking, and gardening, as well as volunteering at her children's school. She also enjoys traveling and discovering new cuisines.
